The founder and owner of “ASJPI” is Al Sheard, Jr. Mr. Sheard is a Retired Senior Special
Agent from the U.S. Customs Service (now Homeland Security). He has spent the past 38
years in Law Enforcement; serving 7 years as a Police Officer, 26 years as a Federal Agent
with the remainder as a Private Investigator.
Mr. Sheard has a BA degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State University and an AAS
degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York. In addition, Mr.
Sheard is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the U.S. Customs
Academy and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy.
Mr. Sheard is a Licensed Private Investigator in Ohio. He currently holds the position of
Dean of Private Investigation at the Academy of Court Reporting, Cincinnati Campus.
Mr. Sheard is a member of the Ohio Association of Security and Investigation Services
(OASIS), Kentucky Society of Professional Investigators (KSPI), Ohio Investigators
Association (OIA), Kentucky League of Licensed Investigators (KLLI), Federal Law
Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) and a life long member of the Fraternal Order of
Police (FOP).
