The founder and owner of “ASJPI” is Al Sheard, Jr.
Mr. Sheard is a Retired Senior Special Agent
from the U.S. Customs Service
(now U.S Department of Homeland Security).
He has spent the past four decades in Law
Enforcement; serving 7 years as a Police Officer,
26 years as a Federal Agent with the remainder
as a Private/Contract Investigator and Educator.
Mr. Sheard has a BA degree in Criminal Justice
from Kent State University and an AAS degree in Business Administration from
the State University of New York. In addition, Mr. Sheard is a graduate of the
Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the U.S. Customs Academy and the
Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy.
Mr. Sheard is a Licensed Private Investigator in Ohio. He is the former Dean of
Private Investigation at Miami-Jacobs College, Cincinnati Campus. In addition,
Mr. Sheard is retained by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Federal
Investigative Services, as a Special Investigator, conducting National Security
Investigations. He is also a contract instructor with the U.S. Department of
State, Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program (ATA).
Mr. Sheard is a member of the Association of Certified Background
Investigators (ACBI), Kentucky Society of Professional Investigators (KSPI),
Ohio Investigators Association (OIA), Kentucky League of Licensed
Investigators (KLLI), Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA)
and a career long member of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).
